PRE-SHIPMENT QUALITY CONTROL

More visibility before your goods leave China.

When you are overseas, a supplier saying “the goods are ready” does not always give you enough information. Unison can coordinate buyer-side quality checks before shipment and communicate findings back to you.

Quality control from the buyer’s point of view

Pre-shipment quality control is designed to help an overseas buyer verify important order details before cargo is dispatched. The scope should be based on the product, agreed specification and the buyer’s priorities.

Typical pre-shipment checks

  • Visible product condition and workmanship
  • Quantity and packing configuration
  • Dimensions, labels or agreed specification points
  • Packaging and carton condition
  • Photos, videos or other evidence requested by the buyer where practical
Already have your own supplier? That is not a problem. Quality control and China-side order follow-up can be provided even when Unison did not originally source the factory.

What happens if there is an issue?

If a problem is identified before shipment, the buyer has an opportunity to discuss corrective action with the supplier while the goods are still in China. Unison can help communicate the issue clearly and follow up the supplier’s proposed response.

Quality control FAQ

Can you inspect goods from a supplier I found myself?

Yes. You can keep your existing supplier and use Unison for China-side communication and pre-shipment quality control support.

What can be checked before shipment?

The scope depends on the product and agreed requirements, but checks can focus on quantity, appearance, packaging, dimensions, specification points and other buyer-defined criteria where practical.

Does a pre-shipment check guarantee zero defects?

No inspection can guarantee that every unit is defect-free. The purpose is to give the buyer additional information before dispatch and identify visible or agreed issues before goods leave China.
